Which wick should I use with my wax?

Several factors should be considered when selecting the ideal wick: Size: It's crucial to choose a wick that's appropriate for the size of your candle. A wick that's too small won't burn enough of the wax's surface, while a wick that's too large will burn the wax too quickly and may result in an unstable flame. Shape of Your Candle: Cylindrical, square, or conical candles require different types of wicks. For example, cylindrical candles need larger wicks for even burning, while cone-shaped candles require smaller wicks for a stable flame. Composition of Your Wax: Some waxes require thicker wicks than others. Additives and Fragrances: Adding additives or fragrances to your wax can influence the burn of your candle and thus affect the choice of your wick. We recommend testing different sizes and types of wicks to find the one that best suits your wax and candle. How do I measure my dyes?

At My French Perfume, we recommend using our grain dyes, measured at 0.1% to 0.2% of the total weight of your wax mixture. This means that a 10g packet of our grain dye can color about 5 kg to 10 kg of wax, depending on the desired color intensity. For those who prefer to use liquid dyes, we also have a range available. To correctly measure these products, simply refer to the photo of each product on our site, which indicates the necessary dosage percentage. Keep in mind that this may vary depending on the required color intensity.
